This is what Craig Gordon, Manager for surf department at Brave New World Stores in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ has to say about our blanks.This is the first time that I own a chambered balsawood surfboard, I decided to go with a more traditional shape, got myself a 5'8" single wood fin. It's something I wasn't expecting, paddle fast to the brake, ducking under the surf is fun, the board tents to come up very fast. Paddling into the wave, because balsa have more buoyancy than foam, is a lot faster, the board goes on top of the water.
The drop and coming off it is incredible, the bottom turn because of lack of flex, is way faster, it keeps momentum all along and keeps gaining speed. One word "AWESOME" Even though a little heavier than foam, but it compensates with momentum, response and memory.
